Grizzly – Ultra Stout, MMXVII, is an impressive and wonderful beer experience. The beer is so strong that it has a vinous character in terms of taste. Together with the distinctive appearance of the hops and roasted malt, this gives the beer a completely unique and full-bodied taste experience. Despite the beer's dark and strong character, this is a wonderfully refreshing and completely exclusive taste experience.

Copenhagen 22/10-2017. 75 cl bottle from Føtex. Black matte bottle with a black label with a Grizzly Bear in gold grumbling.
Pours clear dark maroon with off-white head. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam. No lacing.
Aroma is on the bitter side. Bitter coffee, dark chocolate with hints of salty licorice.
Light carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor has light sweetness soon overtaken by a solid dark bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter dark chocolate.
A grumpy old and bitter Grizzly indeed.
A bit one-dimensional - but it manages to hide its two digit ABV pretty well.
