Copenhagen 18/11 2017. Hazel nuts on the label in accordance with the Brewery's usual woody design. A little warning as well saying "Sweet Christmas Ale".
Pours clear dark brown with big white bubbly head. Settles as thin almost transparent layer of foam with lacing along the side of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Strong sweet aroma. Caramel, sugar and nuts - it actually reminds me of nutella. Vanilla. Absurdly sweet.
Soft carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor follows the smell. Heavy sweet with only a rudimentary bitterness for balance. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingering.
If you believe that Christmas beers should be very very sweet and taste of vanilla this is the beer for you.
