Copenhagen 23/10 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Another "Forest Beer" this time based on green immature Walnut if I read the label correctly. A lot of green immature Walnuts on the label to no great surprise.
Pours clear maroon with a great white head. Settles as thin almost transparent layer of foam. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is not very strong. Sweetish with notes of brown sugar, caramel and a little metallic. Something a bit more sour and sharp in the background. As the beer warms the bitterness and sourness becomes more apparent.
Medium strong carbonation and watery palate. Tingling texture.
Flavor is more on the bitter side than indicated by the aroma. Medium sweetness followed by prominent sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter.
A little bit unbalanced - but it gets better as it warms up.
