Bjældklang is a powerful dark golden ale. The specially selected ale yeast, combined with the Christmas spices, gives a magnificent taste experience with notes of fruit and roasted malt. The pure "bell ring" (bjældeklang) for the senses.

Copenhagen 29/12 2015. 75 cl bottle from Rema1000, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh. NV. Drawing of a Christmas Elf on a horse cart with huge barrel of Skovlyst beer on the label. Looks like merry traveling.
Pours clear light copper brown with a white head. Settles as a creamy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing on the side of the glass.
Aroma is quite fruity. Peach and melon with some fermentation and alcohol. Some tart citrus notes in the background.
Light carbonation and watery palate. Almost flat texture.
Flavor is rather sweet. Sweet fermented fruit with light tart notes of citrus. Aftertaste is sweet moderated slightly by a light bitterness.
I like the fruityness even if it is not very Christmas-like but this beer is too sweet for my tastebuds. I would never be able to drink a barrel of this stuff in a lifetime.
