Ravnen is a delicious full-bodied Stout with notes of roasted coffee and chocolate. The added licorice is in good balance with the flavors of the dark malts.

Værløse 9/12 2016. 25 cl from draft at the brewery.
Pours opaque dark brown with an off-white head. Stable. Settles as a thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is quite sweet with nice hints of something burnt and roasted. A whiff of licorice to balance things a bit.
Medium strong carbonation and thick oily palate. Lightly tingling yet creamy texture.
Flavor is quite sweet with only a light bitterness for balance. But the slightly milky feel of this beer actually balances it a bit. Aftertaste is lightly bitter. Lingering.
Not a bad visit to the Milk Bar but I would feel like a Adult Baby if I consume more than a few of these (a very unnerving thought).
