Very dark brown with clearly transparent edges. Small head that doesn't last long.
Big aroma. Roast, phenolic, whisky, oak, alcohol, chocolate. A little unbalanced but not too bad really.
Sweet and phenolic. A really weird combination actually. The phenolic notes are frankly adding nothing to this beer and the sweetness masks any malt complexity that may exist.
Medium-full body with moderate carbonation. Fine.
An interesting beer. Unfortunately it doesn't stack up for me but I am glad I got to try it.
