Copenhagen 24/3 2019. 33 cl can from Meny, Southhamptongade, Nordhavn. A lot of strange figures on the can. I assume it is the invalids and the convalescents. Quite another style compared to BrewDogs normal design.
Pours hazy, orange yellow with a small white head. Bubbly. Settles as thin layer of foam just managing to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense, fermented and citric. Fermented, decaying exotic fruit. Lighter citric notes of Grape fruit and citrus. Subtle sugary quality.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, lightly tingly texture.
Flavor is rather sweet but balanced by a strong, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with an alcoholic, boozy presence. Lingering. Finish is dry.
DIPA where the aroma and flavor does not manage to cover up the considerable ABV. But medicine needs a kick - that goes for this restorative potion as well.

Pouring it.... fat tangerine wafts....
L-Mid amber, Thin large-bubble white head, small to start, soapy, holds well. [This beer 'smells' meanwhile]
S- A fat rich citrus angle
T- Woof. Hops > bitter, but the ABV supporting it. Cripes this is hoppy. If it weren't for the 'almost insane' 8.7% this would be just anothe out of balance hop-bomb. But you know what, I think this one shows that if you want this level of hopping, you really just have to seriously amp up the ABV% as a foundation for it.
F- It's very hoppy/dry, but balanced by the richness underneath.
O- Sure isn't a session beer, but shows mega-hops need to be balanced by big ABV% or they are far too mono-dimensional.

330ml can poured into a teku glass.
Slightly hazed in texture with bright golden orange in color, it tops with thick silky white head that is able to solidly withstand before slowly subsiding to eternal foamy crown as well as leaving generous amount of sticky lacing patch and spot on the glass-side.
Hop dominates the aroma with very wide varieties ranging from grapefruit, citrus, tropical fruit, lemon rind, passion fruit, floral, slight herbal, some earthy, some spice, pine, and resin. Malt is there too and bold enough to be sensed with a note of sweet caramel.
Hop again in the taste but this time totally devastates the palate with its pungent and unreal amount of bitterness from the start to finish of each sip. Fruity characters are supplementary to add some liveliness with all the characters exhibited in the aroma. Malt flavor here is deeply sunken with just a subtle flash of ghost-like caramelized sweetness in the middle while the end is long-lasting hop bitterness.
The body is medium to rather full but considering leaner comparing to typical DIPA standard. Smooth mouthfeel upon the palate with lively and medium crisp carbonation, finish is pleasantly dry.
There is no need to talk about the balance on this brew. It is truly dedicated for the greatness of hop. You will get hop and hop and hop along the way. Alcohol is also perfectly hidden together with its dryness allowed you to quaff very fast. Don’t miss this if Hardcore IPA or Jack Hammer is your glass.

Pours a rclear, rich gold colour. Smells predominantly hoppy, floral, light malts, and earthy hops. Tastes like it smells, a bit less floral and more earthy hop; Tastes well-rounded and balanced for the ABV, with a dry finish.

Pours amber, large head.
Nose shows pine, heavy sweet clean malt, soft booze, floral hops.
Similar flavours, with some heavy-hitting but clean malt, a bit more booze and some piny, resinous and faintly fruity hops leading to an aggressive bitterness that gets overrun but the massive amounts of malt.

Frothy lumps over hazy goldenrod. 4
Knockout papaya, citrus oil, and kiwi nose. 4.25
Honey malts and big tropical mango, melon, passionfruit and more kiwi hops. 4.25
Pineapple finish and Lemsip linger.
Almost medium, clean, oily. 4
A malt-back super tropical, no-burn DIPA. Nothing to correct all the rich fruits, though - needs IBUs. Lovely hops in 8 different directions at once, don’t get me wrong - it unveils sip by sip. But almost too much of a good thing. 4.25
