A 330ml bottle with a BB of Sept 2016, so it's out of date. Purchased ages ago from the Brewdog webshop. The label describes it as a sour berry IPA; the ingredients include cherry, blueberry, cranberry and blackberry along with five hop varieties. Let's see how this ages.....
A: Poured into a Duvel tulip. Bottle conditioned. A deep, hazy pinkish-red colour obscured by a ton of fine sediment. Yields a smallish head of frothy foam that rapidly subsides to a patchy surface layer.
S: Aroma of tart berry notes with hints of berry juice, earthiness, lactic acid, mild leafiness and faint citrus undertones. Unusual character for a beer but pretty good.
T: Tastes of sour berry juice and lactic acid; notes of fruity berries, earthiness, natural yoghurt and mild leafiness. The sourness is fairly intense, suggesting lactic bacteria.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with soft carbonation. Good body, with plenty of sour action but a tad flat. Aftertaste of tart berries and earthiness.
O: Rather nice - certainly a change from the average IPA. Looks good, while the aroma and flavour pack a big dose of sour berries, lactic acid and earthy yeast. Decent body; could be livelier. Not sure about the hop character but I expect it has faded given the age of the bottle. Nonetheless, an interesting stab at a hybrid style - goes down without complaint.

Novel but nothing to get excited about. Interesting name, probably the reason most pick it up. Strong aroma of grapefruit as you would expect. This is a hard drinker though, overpowering fruit, tastes stronger then its percentage suggests.

330ml prototype bottle from Brewdog.com (£2.30):
An interesting & unusual beer that worked better than I expected with the IPA side of things being very noticeable thanks to the strength of the hops & tropical fruits coming through but you still got the sourness & tart as well with raspberry being the dominate flavour. Well balanced & relatively easy to drink but I'm not sure I could have managed more than one as a result of the sweetness & sugars that featured throughout.

From 10/10/15 notes. Keg beer at Brewdog Cardiff in Wales.
Pours an awesome looking deep rugby red color with pink head. Hoppy nose, cranberry is super light, not a lot of flavor in the taste. Not really sour at all which is how they described it.
Overall disappointing but not terrible. Don't order it if you're looking for a sour beer though.

Clear vibrant garnet colour. Faint earthy aroma. Tart berry flavours of cranberry, cherry, and currant. Earthy hops and a bit of sweet malts. Strange hybrid but it works.
