From bottle, pours a hazey brown colour with a medium beige coloured head.
Aroma citrus, pine, malt, roast.
Taste caramel, malt, pine, earth. Very nice.

Clear brown color with tan head. Aroma is mostly hoppy with dank notes and no real malt character. Taste is also hoppy with dank and earthy notes. Finishes with a nutty malt character and earthy hops, pretty bitter. Medium body with soft carbonation. Quite nice, American style brown ale overall.

330ml bottle from Drygate Bottle Shop, Glasgow (£2.20):
Starting okay with nice citrus hops & mango on top of a malty, earthy base with nutty flavours but things faded fast come the taste. There the mango & fruits were less pronounced& overall the balance was poor with the finish dry & harsh; I can see why this was voted the worst of the four beers in the brewery's prototype challenge & I've only tried one other from the four. Miles worse than Brewdog's Jet Black Heart & hopefully not one the brewery will re-introduce.

From XXXII. In Teku glass. After dinner. Amazing hoppy aroma. Taste is good to but some people might find it excessively hoppy and hiding everything else (not me. I love such bitterness)
