A 330ml can with a BB of March 2017. Acquired a while back from the Brewdog webshop. Essentially a variant of Jackhammer brewed with Belgian yeast.
A: Poured into a Duvel tulip. Can conditioned. A rich golden-amber colour with fine floating sediment and moderate carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before settling as a patchy surface layer.
S: Aroma of intense fruity hops and yeast esters; notes of grapefruit, citrus, peel, mild pine resin, Belgian yeast, earthiness and subtle malt. Nice.
T: Tastes of fruity, resinous hops and earthy yeast with notes of grapefruit, citrus, pine resin, grass/hay, yeast esters, mild caramel malt and a touch of booze. An incisive hoppy bitterness upon swallowing. Good stuff.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with soft carbonation and nice body. Hop oils stimulate the palate. Aftertaste of bitter fruity hops, citrus, pine and yeast esters.
O: Very nice. Big and bold, an avalanche of hops to the senses. Looks pretty good, while the aroma and flavour provide a satisfying blend of bitter hops and Belgian yeast esters. Decent body; could be a tad livelier. Goes down a treat - another solid effort from Brewdog.

L: Hazy amber color, one finger white head, ok lacing, minimum carbonation.
S: Hops, malts.
T: Sweet, hoppy, malty. Bitter on the back end. Superb!
F: Refreshing, drinkable.
O: Nothing close to the hoppiness and bitterness of the Jack Hammer but still a great beer.

Steady white foam over pale gold. 4
Lemon and melon, crackery grain, flowers and slight clove - all delicate. 3.75
Saltines, plasters, then kumquat, grapefruit, and light pine with real IBUs. 3.75
Salty, crisp, just past light. 4
This level of Belgian would suit a new skool IPA - all about finesse. Maybe too much so - other than a whack of bitterness, hops and yeast almost cancel out rather than enhance each other. Drinkable for the strength and gets more tropical as it opens, but not the synergy I want from the style. 3.75

Love jackhammer, and this was similar. Should have them side by side to compare. I'd say a little more malt, but the jackhammer hops are still very present. Excellent beer, might prefer the original though.

330ml Can from DogHouse, Glasgow (£2.80):
This one was a very enjoyable offering from Brewdog with a huge amount of bitterness to open things up alongside an excellent caramel malt base. The beer was dry & balanced with light carbonation & nice touches of spice from the Belgian yeast. I'd be interested to give the original Jack Hammer another review to see how it compares given how that my palate has probably changed since I first tried it. Overall it was definitely an interesting offering & one that I wouldn't mind see Brewdog brew on every now & again; I'm already looking forward to the next in the series now.

Bought a can from the brewdog soho in London. Very similar to the jack hammer but the Belgian yeast strain shows a lot and adds a lot of funk. It is still aggressively hopped, but I prefer the original.
Clear golden orange. White head.
Fruity and bready.. Floral and herbal. Has a bone dry finish to it.
