330ml can poured into a teku glass.

Mildly hazed bright golden yellow color, it tops with a finger of white frothy head that stays with pretty good retention before sinking to a long-lasting bubble film on the surface and leaving small lacing behind.

Mango and artificial mango syrup dominate the aroma. It is also nicely complement with pineapple and other tropical fruits as well as some chili spice. Malt is there in the background with a subtle bready scent.

The taste is led by bold spiciness of chili. It is so spice and very lively through its mango, syrupy, pineapple, and tropical fruit flavors. Malt is there undertone with its breadiness in order to support the chili profile that is also well lasting in the aftertaste.

The body is medium with some good crisp and lively carbonation through the palate, quite smooth through the mouthfeel with a dry finish.

This one is pretty good as a spice beer with its rich chili character together with mango, pineapple, and tropical juicy profiles.

Hazy straw with few, slow rising bubbles. Topped with 5 fingers of soft, off white head. Great head retention.

Smells of Pineapple candy, citrus, pine, and purple grape bubblegum. Really fruity and child like in its candy character.

I was not expecting that!!! Big hot, red chilli peppers, black pepper, huge spice that burns the tongue and all the way down the throat! Coupled by pineapple, fruity, candy qualities, pine resin, and oranges. But the spice takes your attention off the other qualities!

Light body, moderate carbonation, and tons of fire burn!

Got at Namton's in Chiang Mai tonight, my first time there. Great bar. Feel like they overcharged a lot for a supposed discount, but I hope it was a mistake. Anyhow, the beer is amazing, and they had this on tap, though I got it in the can. Anyhow, I love the playfulness of this beer. Drinking Feb 2nd, 2017.

Platinum blonde with puffy, leggy white froth. 4
Super-fresh squeezed grapefruit juice nose. 4.25
Crackery pils, chili buzz creeping in quick, a blast of spice, some squishy tropical fruit puree, and mild lemon. 3.75
Crisp, light, oily. 4

With chili, mango, and coriander

Aggressive citrus nose, but that disappears in the event because it’s ALL CHILI. All right, that’s not true after the first sip, but this is one of the hotter chili beers I’ve had. With no stouty chocolate to balance, it kills the hops, spice, and just about everything else. It does end on a lime note, and is kinda fun. I just never want to drink it again. 4

I have been drinking beer for a lot of years and this one is the first pint I've ordered in my life that I could not finish. Normally when I order a bad beer I say to myself how awful it is, swear a few times, then power through it begrudgingly. However, I left with 3/4 of this one sitting on the bar. It's not that the beer was too spicy; the amount of heat in this one I found pretty nice. The amount of mango and chili in this beer did more than clash with each other; they were actively waging a war in my mouth and made this undrinkable! Awful, awful, awful beer. This is coming from a fan of pepper beers as well and someone that has recently brewed multiple batches of some fairly spicy ones.

Schooner on-keg at Brewdog DogHouse (£3.48):
This one was quite a strange offering on the whole, taken as a chilli beer it was quite good when comparing it to others of the style but on it's own it wasn't that great an offering & ended up being one I struggled to finish a schooner of. It started off quite interesting & the heat it generated was pretty impressive but this soon turned to overpowering & challenging meaning I came away thinking that a third of a pint or at a push, a half pint of this one would have been more than enough. It's definitely one I'm glad I tried but it's not one I'd have again either; it'll be interesting to see how the brewery's Chilli Hammer offering released alongside this one compares in the coming weeks.
