Hop Shot is a high-velocity hop hit.
Our latest experiment in ice-distillation is a west coast IPA, subjected to Antarctic temperatures and concentrated by removing the ice that forms. The result is a 22% ABV hop grenade in a 110ml bottle.
The aroma retains a huge amount of hop character - grapefruit peel, sticky stewed orange and yuzu, combined with heady pine sap and resin. The mouthfeel is full and warming, and layers sweet toffee with an aggressive bitterness. Firing on all cylinders with a hit of light effervescence, hop shot is India pale ale, quadrupled.
Ingredients: water, barley, hops, yeast.

110ml Bottle from Brewdog.com (£4.55):
Very thick & strong, the beer is oily with a very hoppy feel & quite a lot of bitterness as well. There's a lot of alcohol grain that seems to dominate but there was some citrus & even some banana coming through as well, something I hadn't expected. It's definitely one to sip & very much a one-off beer but it was more drinkable than anticipated despite the alcohol content & how boozy it was.

From 2d2dspuma. Abv 20%. In Teku glass. Watching Blade Runnee 2049. Really, reall bitter. The ultrahigh Abv is fairly well hidden, specially in nose. Herbal and a bit resinous. Adequately sized (11cl) No foam at all

Viscous deep gold with no head. 4
Pure tangerine oil. 4.25
Apricot + tangerine, some honey, botanical centre, orange oil and whiskey end. 4
Medium plus, smooth, hot as hell. 4
Intense! But way too hot, especially for “just” 22%. There are pure hops in the middle, which is something of a an accomplishment. But not beer anymore, and suffers for it. 3.75

This stuff was unreal. Pours a nice golden colour with a thin layer of head with little retention and no lacing. A true hop bomb with citrus and earthy pine and cedar on both the nose and tongue. Nice bitterness level and caramel notes linger on the palette alongside some juicy grapefruit. Booze is incredibly well hidden but obviously still very present. Carbonation level helps boost the experience on the palette. Comparable to Utopia in terms of uniqueness but nowhere near as complex. A super boozy hopped up brew and something I wouldn't hesitate to try again.
