375 ml waxed bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. Pitch black colour, hardly any head. Aroma of roast malts, molasses, whisky, chocolate. Sweet and rich flavour with the same elements. Full mouthfeel.

375ml bottle from Brewdog.com (£6.65):
Thick, oily & jet black with a dark brown, foamy head about 1cm tall that quickly halves in size. The nose isn't as strong as expected, some peat, coffee & faint alcohol show with more peat & smoked wood featuring with the taste. There's some background malts & vanilla coming through here too with some darker fruits & chocolate seeing things out. It's a rich, thick beer with a smooth feel that is boozy, warming & softly carbonated but thankfully doesn't overpower.

Bought some years ago at Coriass's. Served at home in a snifter glass. Look is impressive, a small chocolate head with big bubbles that fades in an instant, leaving a samll ring and a creamy chocolate lacing.
Aroma of chocolate, varnish, barrel, toffee, whiskey, licorice, vanilla, dried and red fruits.
Medium to full body, viscous texture, good carbonation.
Taste... well, it's all that aroma promised.
Spectacular sweet warmy beer. Why din't I buy some more?

On tap. Black color with a ring of brownish foam. Aroma has liquor filled chocolates, whiskey, sherry and cacao. Taste has bittersweet cacao, dark chocolate, whiskey, roasted malt and wood barrel. Almost full bodied with smooth mouthfeel. Quite complex stout with intense roasted flavors.
