A 330ml bottle with a BB of Oct 2018. Purchased a while back from the Brewdog webshop. The label states that this is brewed with 5 malt varieties and hopped with Perle, Mittelfrüh and Mandarina Bavaria.
A: Poured into a tulip. A rich amber hue with low carbonation and faint sediment. Produces a large head of frothy white foam that lasts for a minute or so before collapsing and dissipating.
S: Aroma of grainy malt with hints of barley sugar, mild honey, earthy yeast, hay, subtle leafiness and faint stewed husks. Balanced and slightly sweet.
T: Tastes of sweet grainy malt with notes of barley sugar, hay, leafiness, earthy yeast and subtle stewed husks. Possesses a delicate sweetness, followed by an understated leafy bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth and lightly tingly, with soft carbonation and nice body. Well-judged for the strength. Aftertaste of grainy malt, earthy yeast and mild leafy hops.
O: Quite nice, with a clean, subtle character. Looks OK; shame about the head retention. Aroma and flavour are a decent blend of grainy malt, barley sugar, leafiness and earthy yeast. Good body - not too fizzy. Pleasantly drinkable though might suit warmer weather. I can't see this being popular with the typical Brewdog drinker though.
