12 ounce can, canned on 11/13/18, brewed by BrewDog USA. Served in a BrewDog Stemmed glass, the beer pours a hazy straw gold color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention is good, and there's a lot of lacing. The brew smells like grapefruit, pine, bready/grainy malt and some light herbalness. Taste is similar to the aroma with herbal hop, grapefruit, bready/grainy malt, grass, and some tropical fruit flavors all noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick and smooth with a good amount of carbonation. It's also easy enough to drink. I liked this, it's a good easy drinking pale ale. Certainly worth a try! Another brew from my buddy Denis, thanks to him for getting this for me!

BrewDog "Jinx Pale Ale V1 - Washington Hop Edition"
330 ml can, coded "180331A VC 21/07/18 JINX PLAE ALE V1"
Notes via stream of consciousness: So I'm an idiot. I saw this beer and thought I had to buy it given that it utilized Washington hops which I'd never heard of ~ but duh, they're just hops from Washington state, I've been there, no big deal. They're Simcoe, Centennial, and Chinook - all hops that I brew with regularly although I don't use too much Chinook as it's so piney. It's poured a golden/light amber body beneath a short head of white. It has better than average head retention and lacing. The aroma is resinous, citrusy, herbal, piney, and grainy and malty. The flavor follows pretty much exactly the same but with more citrus (mainly grapefruit), and some additional apple. It's biscuity, and fruity, and dry, backed by a solid bitterness. At the same time it's only 4.7% abv which is nice as so many American pale ales are so much stronger. Medium bodied and gently crisp. Very nicely done overall. An excellent APA.
