Say “Hello” and “Goodbye” to this decadent delicacy. A smooth, flavored Imperial Milk Stout of Monarch proportions. Waves of bitter and sweet wash across the palate, with erupting notes of toasted coconut, roasted coffee and hints of sweet crème brûlée. All melded into a malted tectonic plate.

Copenhagen 14/12 2019. 33 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. BrewDogs usual pretty cool design in purple, black and silver.
Pours opaque dark brown with small beige head. Settles as thin, patchy, flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense, sweet and candy-like with a notable boozy edge. Milk chocolate, marshmallows, vanilla and distinct odor of coconut. More subtle and subdued odor of coffee rummaging in the background.
Light carbonation. Thick, viscous, smooth, soft texture. A bit sticky.
Flavor is heavy sweet followed by a medium strong coffee bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light bitter edge. Lingering.
A gentle, lactic powerhouse softening the high ABV in a abundance of sweetness and coconut but avoids getting cloying by a bitter coffee tang.

Pours opaque black, dark tan head dissipates to a ring.
Smells of caramel, coffee, cream, vanilla, and cocoa.
Tastes of rich chocolate, maple, caramel, pecan, walnut, coffee, cream, and coconut.
Medium to full body, sting of carbonation on the tongue.
Pretty good stout, drinks pretty easy for the abv. Good flavor, body is a bit thinner than I would have expected but not a problem. Overall worth trying, I might have this again.

Brewdog Aloha. Spitzenklasse.

12 ounce can, canned on 8/13/19. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice and sweet, the brew smells like coconut, coffee, roasted malt, cream and chocolate. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma but with the addition of some dark bread, licorice, burnt/charred malt and bitter earthy flavors. Taste is on the sweeter side but not overpoweringly so. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's creamy and coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good imperial/sweet stout, certainly worth picking up if you're into sweeter tasting brews.

12 ounce can into snifter, canned on 8/13/2019. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, medium roast coffee, coconut, vanilla, cream, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with lighter notes of licorice, molasses, raisin, fig, date, smoke, char, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, coconut, coffee, lactose, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with big strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, medium roast coffee, coconut, vanilla, cream, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with lighter notes of licorice, molasses, raisin, fig, date, smoke, char, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal, grassy, peppery, roast, charred bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, medium roast coffee, coconut, vanilla, cream, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, dark bread/crust, licorice, molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, coconut, coffee, lactose, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with an awesome hop/char bitter/sweet balance; and no cloying, acrid, astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvet/bready, fairly sticky/chalky, and lightly slick mouthfeel that is great. Mild increasing warmth of 11% after the finish. Overall this is an awesome flavored imperial milk stout. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, coconut, coffee, lactose, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV, with the mellowly bitter/charred/drying finish. Great soft feel, and not overly bitter/charred. Awesome balance of rich malts, coffee, coconut, and lactose complexity; with solid earthy hops and restrained fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering hop/char bitter dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressively spot on English style example as expected.
