Buckle up and head out West. This is a straight up West Coast IPA. It boasts super-sized C-hops aromas and bags of citrus fruit flavour, backed up with a toasty malt base.

12 ounce can, canned on 10/15/18. BrewDog USA brewed version, 6.9% ABV. Served in a DFH Spiegelau IPA glass, the beer pours a cloudy golden/orange color with about an inch frothy off-white head that stayed around for a long time. There's also a lot of lacing. The brew smells mostly like citrusy (tropical fruit, orange, grapefruit, mango) hops, along with some bready malt and a bit of caramel. For the most part the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some pine hops too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, certainly worth a try! Thanks to my buddy Denis for giving me a can of this.

On tap at Cinematic Circus, Weston Airport, Lucan.
Orange; powdery + skunky; thread of caramel + slight flowers, and hard candy; dry.

Thin + underhopped for 7.5%. Gets that powdery citrus thing that is West Coast. But also kinda greasy + cloying. Not worth it.

Honestly adter the Real Ale Guide's review of the terrible Indie Pale Ale came true, I became unsure of the ever-so-perfect Brewdog brews. I mean, so far most of their beers tasted outstanding but maybe tgeir recent editions really sign the changing of the times...
The smell of this beer hit me like my favorite West Coast IPAs and it is perfectly juicy and drinkable - I enjoyed it quite a lot. Nevertheless, I must admit that about halfway through the beer it lost it's intensity and became a bit diluted and watery. Still it was quite acceptable and no complaints said about this beer. However it made me think a little, that perhaps Beerdog is not that 100% committed to quality anymore? Instead just blasting out beers one after another? Who knows - I do not wish to make a judgement. I might try their future brews still but honestly, if they ever come up with something like the Indie Pale Ale again and dare to label it "True Independent Craft", I might easily be done with them...
