A New England style IPA, with truck loads of aroma. Ripe, tropical and citrus scents, closely tailgated by a smooth, juicy, full-bodied palate and a soft bitter finish. King of Eights - cue 'em up.

My latest brewery horizontal returns me to the BrewDog boys, whom I have met on two ocCANsions - first at TJ's in Paoli & again at Victory BC in Downingtown. I think that they would wholeheartedly approve of The CANQuest (tm) & be proud of their inCANsion!
From the CAN: "Born In Scotland. Brewed In the USA."; "King Of Eights East Coast Style IPA"; "A New England style IPA, with truck loads of aroma. Ripe, tropical and citrus scents, closely tailgated by a smooth, juicy, full-bodied palate and a soft bitter finish."; "King of Eights - cue 'em up."
I beCAN by Crack!ing open the vent to start an inverted C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. It foamed nicely to form two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, eggshell-white head with good retention. Color was a hazy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose smelled more citrusy (grapefruit, orange) than tropical (mango, papaya, guava, passionfruit), but both were present and discernible. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was softer than the nose with the tropical fruits taking the lead and the citrus fruits now following. Finish was cool and dry thanks to a sudden burst of pine mintiness. An interesting take on the style, but not really my bag. YMMV.

12 oz can
Pours hazy golden, pillowy off-white head retains well.
Aroma is of biscuit malts, citrus and pine.
Flavor is of biscuit, pine, citrus zest, and mild grassy notes.
Medium body, tingly carbonation on the tongue.
Decent beer, very drinkable with a burger or hot dog. Tastes fine. Looks a little more interesting than it is. Wouldn't turn it down, but not something I will probably go looking for..

Bright tropical fruit notes, pours an opaque orange with a white head. Full bodied, with bright tropical notes coming through in the beer. A bit on the sweet side, with a touch of bitterness in the finish. Overall, a solid NE IPA.

12oz can, date stamped 06/18/19. A rocky ivory colored head caps a hazy yellow-orange ale. The scent of zesty citrus, mango, pine, and light caramel fills the nose. Fruity and zesty flavors of tangerine, mango, pineapple, orange blossom honey, light caramel, and pine all in the refreshing mix. Medium body, moderate carbonation, bittersweet finish. This is a decent representation of the style - good fruity and tropical flavors, but nothing too outstanding.

Canned on 6/6/19. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy yellowish golden; creamy eggshell white head that falls leaving nice thick retention and sticky lacing. The aromas are floral along with some citrus notes. Some bread, crackers and malts. The flavors basically follow the nose for the most part. Some lemon in the mix. Some fresh grass. More crackers and bread. Moderate bitterness with a subtle sweetness. Malts do their thing. Finishes juicy. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's fluffy, sharp, smooth and easy to drink.
This is a solid brew. It's more or less what you would expect from a "New England IPA". It might not be super flashy for the style, but it's still enjoyable stuff. It's pretty refreshing. Not bad.

12 ounce can, BrewDog USA brewed, canned on 9/27/18. Maybe I should have drank this fresher but it got lost in the shuffle in my fridge. Thanks to my buddy Denis for this one! Served in a DFH Spiegelau IPA glass, the beer pours a cloudy gold color with about an inch or so white head that stuck around for a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. The brew smells mostly like citrusy hops (grapefruit, orange, citrus peel, tropical fruit), along with some stone fruit and grassy hops. I have to say that the taste is just like the aroma, but there's also some hoppy bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a little creamy and coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this IPA, hopefully BrewDog USA will bring it back sometime in the future!

Slightly boozy on the nose but nice orange and citrus notes. Taste also slightly more boozy than expected for a 6.9% IPA but otherwise very solid and drinkable. Brewed and canned at the Canal Winchester (Columbus), Ohio location. Canned 9/27/18
