Mid sized bottle, purchased at the Brew Dog in Cincinnati, Ohio. “Batch 22, Best before 19/6/22”
Pour out with a moderate haze, under a soft and irregular darker khaki cap.
Sweet tropical fruit sniff.
Disappointing brew, as the Brett character never really showed up…maybe some pepper, but that’s about it spice, intrigue wise….just a decent IPA….

500ml Bottle from Tesco (£5):
Slightly hazy & dark golden to amber with plenty carbonation & a thick, foamy head that's slightly off-white but holds well. The nose is funky & herbal with lemon & coriander, a hint of sourness & some floral touches. The taste is fruity with a sour & funky flavour that had some lemon & tart showing. The body was well-carbonated & sharp with a very dry finish & a good balance throughout.

50cl bottle, bb in 15 months.
Pale, hazy orange shade of yellow. Typically weak and evanescent head.
Citra style aromas blend into pineapple from bruxellensis style brett, with tropical hop notes taking it all even deeper to the fruit domain, yet not in a freshly cut fruit vein. Rather it is like a storeroom of fruit. Decent but quite understated dankness, with barnyard well under control.
Taste follows aroma with thin body and tingling tail. Quite but not very dry aftertaste. The taste starts as very promising but dies out quickishly. All that remains is what the carbonation haa induced -- and it is in itself pleasant fruitiness, but it is as if watching fireworks from a distance. I cannot find much evidence for the foeders. If anything, this feels premature. Maybe a slight roundness but if I had not known..
Somewhat disappointing. Too insipid for the label buildup. And to be honest, nothing crafty about this. Brew a pale ale with Citra and Mosaic and toss in Belgian Brett of the most common kind and anyone can brew the same. What was supposed to be the effect of barrels and how can they be so ineffectual here?
