Cask conditioned at Blackfriars, Glasgow, as Paradox Edition #2 Grain Whisky. Black colour, ruby in the highlights. Very nice aroma of woodwork. Roasty, fiery and alcoholic flavour with strong woody notes. Notes of vanilla too. Okay, but not the most successful Paradox version.

Bottle courtesy of thewolf: Poured a deep black color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light whisky notes with some light black chocolate. Taste is also a mix between some light whisky notes, some black chocolate and some light sweet malt. Thinner body then expected with some good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I appreciated the fact that the whisky barrel-aging was not dominating but I dislike the thin body and the lack of character. Maybe my expectations were too high of the Abyss that we drank before this one totally blew my palate but I have to admit that this one was a disappointment.
