Copenhagen 2/11 2019. 33 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Bordeaux version with silver letters of Brewdogs usual design. A bit of gritty nineties-style.
Pours opaque dark brown with a light beige head. Dense and fairly stable. Settles as thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Very moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense and gets stronger as the beer warms up. Balanced between a lightly roasted sweetness and coffee bitterness. Dark roasted malts, caramel, vanilla, cocoa. Bitter coffee and dark chocolate.
Light carbonation. Thick, smooth, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor has a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is coffee bitter with a moderate sweetness peeking in. Lingering.
Potent well balanced Stout. A bit too carbonated to be velvety - but a fine drink nonetheless.
