Copenhagen 14/12 2019. 33 cl can from Mad & Vin, Magasin, Kbh. K. BrewDogs usual design style in dark purple on silver background.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a light beige head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam barely managing to cover the surface of the beer. A bit frothy. Climbing up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is laden with artificial candy, sugary sweetness and something slightly burnt. Marshmallows in abundance, vanilla, sugar and chemical sweetness. Burnt rubber.
Medium carbonation. Medium thick, smooth, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is sweet - but not as sweet as I expected from the nose. Followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter-sweet with the sweetness winning out in the end. Lingers for a while.
Well balanced for a beer where the word “confectionist” is a part of the name. The nose is a bit off but the flavor hits the mark.

12 oz can from Colin. Dark brown, small skin of head. Sweet aroma, roast, chocolate. Not much evidence of the marshmallows, but general sweetness to go with a gentle roast.
