Copenhagen 29/2 2020. 33 cl can from Many, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Purple, sliver and red version of BrewDogs usual design.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a big beige head. Settles as a fine, thin layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense, sweet and and with an almost candy-like quality. Brown sugar, milk chocolate, cheap chocolate ice cream. Light spiciness. Vanilla and sprinkles.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, almost flat texture.
Flavor is heavy sweet followed by a light spicy bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a surprisingly strong bitter undercurrent. Like dark chocolate. Lingers for while.
Sweet of course. But also surprisingly bitter for a pastry beer.
