44cl Crowler from Brewdog Doghouse, Glasgow (£4.30):
Golden amber & pretty clear with an excellent, 3cm foamy head on top that has amazing retention for the strength. The nose is dry & bitter with hop oils & stone fruits to start; I got some mango, passionfruit & background citrus with a little grapefruit then a tiny bit of sweetness. There is a similar dry bitterness to the taste with strong stone fruits, mango & tropical flavours alongside the resinous hop oils, a candied sweetness & a touch of alcohol. It has a medium to full body with a strong, warming feel that is very dry & bitter, particularly at the end.
