Copenhagen 30/1 2020. 33 cl can from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Another feature in BrewDog’s fanzine concept. Blue and dark grey version of BrewDogs usual design. A little confusing with another BrewDog beer called “Coconut Shy”.
Pours hazy, pale yellow with a big white head. Bubbly but persistent. Settles as 1,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense, sweetish and with light citric notes. Light odor of peach and pineapple. Stronger citric notes. Citrus and lemon. Not exactly overflowing with coconut.
Strong carbonation. Thin, watery and lively almost fizzy texture.
Flavor is on the thin side. Lightly sweet followed by a stronger citric sourness. Aftertaste is sour. Lingers for a short while.
A beer very shy of coconut. So shy I can’t detect any signs of the huge nut. A bit thin and not terribly interesting.
