We are honored to join Weathered Souls Brewing and over 900 breweries across the world to brew our version Black Is Beautiful - because BrewDog believes equal rights are non-negotiable. As a company, we take a stand for the things we believe in and continue to challenge ourselves on what we can do differently and what we must do better.

Black Is Beautiful is an Imperial Stout with bold notes of molasses, espresso, vanilla, and cocoa. Its body is rich and silky complemented by a boozy 10% ABV baseline.

From the tall boy can in a snifter via Bluejacket74!
This SOLID imperial pours a rich coal black with a
thin cola highlight and a fantastic head of tan foam
that fades to a thick ring, thick clumping layer, and
displays very nice lacing. Nose of dark bittersweet fudge,
dark fruits, dark coffee, char, roast, faint coffee, and
touches of strong booze. Flavors exceed the nose
with char, brulee, dark fruit, dark coffee, dark bakers
cocoa, and touches of dark rum, blackberry, and
hints of cream. Excellent mouth feel; full body, smooth,
rich, lightly creamy, light carbonation, and a nice
coating and lightly dry finish.

Overall, Excellence!

16 ounce can, BrewDog USA brewed, born on date of 07/07/20 stamped on the bottom of the can. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like burnt/charred malt, bittersweet chocolate, espresso and some licorice. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some molasses and vanilla flavors. I think the burnt/charred malt, espresso and licorice stand out here, but they don't dominate the other flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's creamy and a bit coating with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was a pretty good imperial stout, definitely worth picking up if you come across some!
