Copenhagen 12/6 2022. 33 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. BrewDog’s usual can design in green and silver metal.
Pours unclear golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin flimsy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of Stone fruit mingling with citric fumes. Dry vibe. Peach and apricot. Citrus and lemon. Fresh.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is lightly bitter and a bit thin. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Not very spiky or jagged. But a solid. Sessionable Indian Pale Ale.

I don't know if I have an old can but there is a base hypochlorite/phenolic taste to it. This antiseptic taste is quite unpleasant to me.

APPEARANCE: Hazy golden amber, with a a light white head and thin line of lace.
NOSE: Fresh tropical fruit.
TASTE: Juicy, tangy tropical hops with a nice edgy bitterness at finish. Very tasty and a winner melding modern juicy IPA and a classic bitterness. Quite nice.

Not a bad session IPA had a lot of body and hop flavors without being too aggressive with the hop profile so I don't think the word spiky really works but it was better than OK

12 ounce can poured into a Duvel tulip glass.
L---Lightly hazed, bright golden color. Fluffy white head with good retention and very good lacing.
S---Citrus (lemon & orange), some mango.
T---Follows the nose, lemon, mango & orange.
F---Medium bodied with good carbonation. A little bit watery.
O---I have literally zero idea what a "spiky" IPA is. That's what they're advertising and I have no clue if they hit or missed that mark.

330ml Can from Tesco, Glasgow (£1.25):
Light golden & pretty clear bodied with a foamy white head that's thick & holds well at about 1cm tall. The nose is definitely subdued, I got some pine hops & touches of citrus, a little lemon & some mango sweetness then a few pale malts sneaking in too. Citrus with pine hop flavours dominated the taste without it being as strong as I'd have liked, it definitely seems like a session IPA despite being a little stronger. There's some zesty lemon, pale malts & a moderately bitter, mellow hop finish but it was all fairly standard & unexciting. The body is light medium & has similar carbonation levels but its nothing to write home about.
