Copenhagen 12/9 2021. 44 cl can from Meny. Rotunden, Hellerup. Brewdog’s usual coop can design in light green and light blue.

Pours opaque, hazy, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin, flimsy but consistent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of tropical fruits mingling with a perfumed, citric scent. Peach, mango and blood orange. Citrus and grapefruit. Strange scent of rubber.

Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.

Pretty straight forward NEIPA with a floral touch. Could do without the rubber, though.

440ml can from Tesco (£3):
A bright amber/orange & hazy with a frothy white hear that leaves a little lacing on the glass but isn't the thickest looking. Fruity smelling with peach, apricot & lots of mango; it's very juicy & tropical but it's more subdued than expected. Slightly stronger tasting, there's some mango, grapefruit & pine with a little apricot too. It's juicy & tropical again with a good balance, lively carbonation & a semi-bitter finish; a slow start but it recovered well.
