Pink in color with a fingernail of off white around the rim and covering half of the top. Moderate I’m tasting tart blueberries. The mouth is crisp and refreshing.

From the can, it pours a clear light pink color with a modest pinkish white head that reduces to a thin layer and leaves lacing. The nose gets a pleasant cherry scent. The mouth follows - a bit tart.

From a can canned on 10-22-2022

This beer pours almost a pink color. Clear pouring beer. There's some carbonation in it rising in the glass, and the bubbles rising look fairly big. The head that formed, and past tense is right here, was off white in color. I couldn't measure the head, because it dissipated immediately. There's no lacing on the glass.
The aroma is, like the can suggests, black cherry. The aroma does, however, smell slightly artificial.
Taste - Well, black cherry is the flavor, and I'm getting a really artificial vibe here. The backside reminds me of when I was a kid and took medicine, yeah, that flavor. Not pleasing, to say the least.
In spite of the lack of head, the beer is bubbly feeling. Light, and somewhat crisp. The feeling of the black cherry lingers, and isn't pl,easing.
Yeah, this is one I won't be getting again. It started off weak, and got worse as it went along.

12oz can poured into a snifter

A- pours a clear pale pink with a one finger fizzy white head, looks like a soda

S- cherry koolaide, red licorice, sugar candies

T- not nearly as tart as I expected, semi-sweet cherry notes with raspberry undertones. Mid-palate gives it a lemony tartness that continues into a dry finish, lingers of cherry candy

M- light body with high carbonation, foamy mouthfeel with a prickly finish

O- I consider this a soda more than a beer, enjoyable nonetheless

Poured from a 12 oz can into a Sam Adams IPA glass using standard soft pour technique. Then second pour was made with more aggressive pour to agitate more. Preferred pour was half soft followed by half aggressive. Produced best body result and agitation for notes/body/smell.

Good head foaming with quick build and then quick fall. Foam is very thin bubbling and more in line what you would see with a soda or seltzer pour. In other words you don't have good stability of the crown or face. It is transient in nature and quickly dissipates, but the final layer does adhere and hold a fairly long time creating a good face. The lacing is odd though and again it mostly if not all closed small bubbling. The lacing is more of a thin foam and less traditional lacing with legs, veins, and rim adhesion. Again very carbonated beverage like. I don't see much glass adhesion. Body is very thin and not viscous at all. Again soda or carbonated beverage like. More than seltzer less than traditional beer.

Very clear body with large active small bubble carbonation. Absolutely beautiful central bubbling core with evenly distributed very active carbonation movement across the exterior of the central cone. Ruby red body with complete clarity. Looks like a raspberry ginger ale and less like a beer. Regardless it is nice looking if not unexpected.

Aromas of cherry, raspberry, sour candy like Smarties, acidic white wine notes (chardonnay or Riesling) evoking spent white grape skins that soured, and no yogurt notes (suggesting sourness is being achieved through the visibly noted fruit flavor additives on the can) and not through traditional beer souring through wild/lactic/Brettanomyces techniques. Thus the aroma is fruited not fermented but not off putting. There is a pleasantness to the raspberry and though not traditional of regular ABV sours in scent, the fruit note is very natural suggesting actual juice and not artificial flavoring. Clearly acids are being used to achieve souring from natural juice and not actual "corruption" of the mash during the fermentation process through Brett introduction.

On the front of the palette lots of sour like an Atomic Warhead or Smarties-- very sour candy and it hits with a big acid note triggering your acid receptors instantly. Lots of sour raspberry juice, overripe strawberries and cherries, vinegar (think a really good simple Italian dressing that just white vinegar and a bit of olive oil), and fruit punch (Hawaiian punch) subtle thin malt notes. Mid-palette lots of grapefruit, lemon grass, orange rind, raspberry juice, and a bit of strawberry/kiwi juice (Snapple like). Big sour acid notes like lemon drops, sour candy (more Warheads), and SweeTARTS. Back palette you get all this wonderful raw (and maybe cheap) white wine notes that suggest lots of sour spent white grape skins, red grape juice that forgot the sugar additive, musty earth/pine wood, and lingering soured raspberry juice. A bit of spent sugar sweet undertones to nicely balance things out.

Very wet and crisp mouthfeel. Very effervescent. Lots of carbonation on the tongue and mouth. Very seltzer/soda/Fresca like. Very thin. Refreshing and not over souring though enough to produce initial pucker on first mouthful. As you get used to it over the second or third can things even out a bit. At cold temp serving on a hot day I could see this being a go to crusher when out and about in the sun.

Crisp clean aftertaste. Lingering raspberry, cherry, soured apple juice, and Riesling grapes.

Overall not typical of the sour style and because of the acid fruit juice notes it feels "artificial" even if it isn't. So we are off style and maybe out of style at points. I deduct some points for that. Now having said that the drink itself is very very good. You have some who say it is not a beer but I think it honestly is though it is pushing some boundaries of how beer works especially in the sour category when you have no or little alcohol (this is less than .5% ABV per the can). You'll hear things of soda like or not a real beer blah blah bah... but if you get beyond the idea of what it's supposed to be and you look at simply what it is-- you see it really has a nice place in the NA world that really pushes what you can do with a beer base and fruited sour additives. I think sour Radler or Shanty because it certainly is not a traditional Brett sour. We have seen other full ABV or low ABV (2-3%) beer in this footprint but I don't think we've seen one this sour leaning as far as acid notes go. So this pushes that boundary and admittedly does it well. In short if you like Radler/Shanty style beer or if you are looking for a very fruit front sour beer you'll dig this. I even dare say it comes off like a very thin Lambic beer. Maybe water down Belgium Lambic or Framboise. Either way, it's well done and at 20 calories makes it a very crushable multi-drink per session go to on a nice hot day. 3.91 out of 5. Pretty good.

Can. Pink white head that fades. Clear pink color.

Black cherry ale. Light. Almost tastes like a soda. Not sour, not tart. Just light and fruity. Refreshing and a surprisingly amount of flavor for 20 calories. Would be better in the summer than winter.

Pours clear, bright red in color with one inch head. Taste is old fashioned raspberry soda and some sour mix. Light bodied, high carbonation and sour. Great non alcoholic sour. I prefer the pineapple more but this is very good. Takes me back to childhood and warm summer mornings. Glad I got eight.
