Copenhagen 31/12 2022. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Simple black and silver label stating the name and style and that both chocolate and chili is involved.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized off-white head. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, and malty odor mingling with potent dark alcohol and wood. Dark toasted malts, chocolate and brown sugar. Bourbon and vanilla.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a searing boozy streak. Lingering. Finish is sweet alcohol.
Potent, rich boozer. Not much chili though.

black, little foam, small lacing.
chocolate, vanilla, cocoa, coffee, and most (importantly) chili that is very dominant.
Creamy, sweet and spicy. almost no bitterness.
4 for style but not my taste, will hopefully be my last chili / spicy beer. while I like both, the combination does not work for me.
