I had very high confidence in this brew. Brewdog Ohio is very good at stouts - better than any of their other main styles. It did not let me down.
It pours a stout black with loads of head. Good lacing. The aroma is a mild roasty malty stout smell. Not too boozy. The taste is more pronounced with a pepper aftertaste that starts immediately. It's a great experience.
Highly recommended. They do these so well at BrewDog can we hope for a nitro version?

Canned on 10/12/21. 16oz can poured into a tulip.
Pours almost black; big khaki head that falls leaving nice retention and sticky lacing.
The aromas are malt forward. Some sweet spices and cocoa. The cinnamon really open up as it warms.
The flavors are bold. There's definitely a decent spiciness to this one. More spices, especially cinnamon. Some ginger coming through. Some pepper skin. I can't pick out what peppers are being used but I'm guessing maybe habanero. Some milk chocolate and dark chocolate. Subtle hints of vanilla in the mix. It's not that sweet. Malts do their thing. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed for the most part.
Mouthfeel is full-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's sharp, fluffy and smooth.
This is a really nice "Mexican Hot Chocolate Stout". It's definitely spicy but not over the top. It's the perfect amount of heat for me personally. It has just about everything that you'd look for in the style. Well done. I really like it.
