Copenhagen 16/12 2022. 33 cl cm from Meny, Nordens Plads, Frb. F. Dark can in all shades of chocolate brown and gold.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized beige head. Stable. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet and sugared odor mingling with a earthy scent of coffee. Chocolate cake, brown sugar, waffles and more sugar on top. Coffee grounds and humid soil.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed and balanced by a quite strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Quite the cake-beer but not without a bit of bitter charm in the aftertaste.
