A nice reddish brown body with a big-ish head. Pretty aroma: toffee, roasted cacao, vanilla, it smells like Christmas. A touch sweet. Flavors: save as the aroma with a little pecan & butter, delicious. Medium feel with the alcohol well hidden. Overall, one of the best Christmas brews I’ve tried.

2023 BrewDog Advent Calendar. From the can, it pours a clear dark reddish brown color with a modest tan head that slowly reduces to a thin layer. The nose gets some Christmas scents like vanilla and caramel. The mouth gets vanilla, chocolate and some nuttiness.

From a 12oz can dated 9/27/23 into a pint glass.
Pours a nearly opaque very dark reddish brown with nearly one finger of tan head. Pretty decent retention and lacing.
Smells sweet. Caramel, cocoa, vanilla.
Taste is a little muddled but nice enough. Nutty, caramel, cocoa and vanilla.
Drinks easy enough. Smooth, medium-bodied mouthfeel. Low carbonation.
This is a nice enough beer. Checks all the boxes for what it's trying to be.

I’m shocked that this is actually quite good. The toffee and pecan flavors are light and what truly stands out is the burnt coffee taste. Pleasant bitterness. Solid alcohol punch.

Last can from the advent box, what a slog it was to get through that.
Dark brown in color decent clarity with a thin off white head that slowly recedes. Chocolate bready and toffee. A little weird.

From a twelve ounce aluminum can, this beer is a dense, black liquid with a deep tan head. The aroma has a cocoa note, with some vanilla, nut scents (the pecan) and coffee. The taste is sweet, but not as intense or cloying as I feared. I it is also not as thick and heavy as expected, which was welcomed. The toffee and pecan flavors come through nicely, along with a stout roasted grain quality. Medium body and interesting.

12oz can. Bottom stamp reads 'CANNED ON: 09/20/23'.
Cola brown to black colored body. Wider mahogany back lit edge. Two fingers of tan head, which results in a frothy head and high ring. Leaves some short strings of lacing.
Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, and earthy nuts.
Taste gets some bitterness from the pecan, but also provides a rich and earthy flavor. Other major flavors are fudge chocolate and vanilla, which make for a sweet brew. Chocolate lasts the longest in the aftertaste.
Thinner than medium mouth feel, but with a creamy texture. Good carbonation.
The balance comes from the earthy pecan interacting with the sweet chocolate and vanilla. Appropriate for a holiday celebration.

Ebony in color with a velvety head.
Coffee is the first to hit the tongue then is rounded out with hints of toffee and pecans. A true symphonic experience on the pallet!
