I usually don’t like fruit flavored beers, but this one is incredibly well-made. From a can and absolutely black in color, the head on this beer is tan and lasting. The aroma is thick with cherry flavor, followed by a bit of roast and chocolate notes. The taste is similar…cherry, roasted notes, malt and chocolate. The fruit is present, but not the singular flavor, and it balances nicely with the stout notes. Balanced. Thick and full mouthfeel. I really like this beer.

Cherry cola body with a finger of so of dark tan head. Decent retention, almost zero lacing. Smells... interesting. Kind of like candy. My initial thought was tootsie pop, but it actually does kind of smell like a cherry cordial... that was stuffed with cherry cough syrup. Neither the chocolate nor the cherry come off as natural and there's not really a whole hell of a lot else there. Tastes... nope. Just nope. Bitter, gnarly cough syrup. Why is this so bitter? What the fuck? Jesus. There are people in orange jumpsuits making wine out of ketchup packets, bread crumbs and toilet water who are more accomplished brewers than the clowns at Brew Dog.

12oz can as part of the mixed holiday 12 pack. Not on the website.
"Stout with natural flavor", 8.5% ABV. No other specs on the can.

Pours out to a moderately viscous deep inky black forming a large dark tan head with excellent retention and lacing. Carbonation is moderate, ~2.5. Nose of chocolate cherry tootsie pop, although the cherry is pretty subdued compared to the chocolate. The taste is pretty good, the cherry flavor comes out and there is more depth to the chocolate, tasting more like actual chocolate and not "natural chocolate flavor". There is a moderately firm herbal hop flavor and bitterness in the middle and the bitterness lingers to round out the up front sweetness, although I think 10 less IBU's would make this more savory and pleasant as the hop level is a little too much for this style, IMO. No brewing faults are perceptible. Alcohol is well hidden and drinks a bit bigger than 8.5%, IMO.

A nice addition to the 12 pack, which has mostly been IPAs. A well brewed beer. Worth trying.

12 ounce can, enjoy by 1/31/23 stamped on the bottom of the can, BrewDog USA brewed version. Thanks to my friend Denis for this one! Served in a Spiegelau stout glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good enough. The brew smells like chocolate, vanilla, artificial cherry and some caramel. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some roasted malt flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. Not a bad brew at all, but I didn't care for the artificial cherry flavor. If it wasn't for that I would have liked it more.

12 FL OZ. can
Served in a snifter

This beer pours black and is topped with an inch of mocha head that leaves spotty lacing.

It has a chocolate stout flavor with some cherry accents.

The taste follows the smell. Chocolate with a cherry presence. The smell and taste both come across as waxy or plastic to me. It has a black coffee bitterness in the finish.

Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel

Not a great stout. It is drinkable, but I will pretty much finish anything that has alcohol in it.

I got a can of this beer from the 2022 beer advent calendar pack. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that left a spotty lace. The scent had cherry, berry and chocolate notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with mild chocolate malt base with bold berry presence with subtle coffee acidic undertones. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.
