Bushwood beer, the light and fresh beer that’s crushable on the course. This light-colored straw lager features a creamy white head and moderate carbonation. Hop additions give Bushwood Beer, a light grassy, lemon character, balanced by a sweet malt aroma. At 5% alc/vol., you’ll be able to scamper along and play at least nine holes. Don’t worry, it’s good luck!

From a can brewed on 03/08/23

This is a beautiful looking beer. The pour is a murky looking golden pour. When I hold it to the light there's a beautiful fountain of rising carbonation in the glass. The carbonation produces a 2 finger white head. The head is fluffy looking, and long lasting. Once it dissipates, there's just a bit of lacing on the glass.
I get a faint hint of cereal on the nose. Not too strong, don't know if it's because it's older?
Cereal is the main flavor here, since it's a malty beer. I also get faint notes of honey that pop into the beer. There's a pretty decent hop bitterness on the back.
Crisp, fairly clean, and light.
Easy drinking beer, it would have been nice to get it fresher locally to see if there's a difference.

Pours a cloudy light lemonade yellow with a thick white head. Spotty lacing. Aroma is foul, some cracker and lemon. Flavor follows the nose, unpleasant, but not as foul as the nose. Feel is light bodied and adequately carbonated. Overall, a disappointment, drinkable barely.

Pours out of the can a crystal clear gold color with one finger of head. Smells a little earthy and slightly crackery. Taste follows suit with a slight bitter note. Nice full mouthfeel for the beer type.

From the bottom of the can: "CANNED ON: 03/23/23 1554-6 07:09"

Appearance: The body of the beer is a light straw colored gold with a bit of a lemon hue. It is moderately hazy to the point where it is noticeable. There is a large, fluffy, white head which fades out to a short white cap. Sparse lacing.

Aroma: It has a weird burnt garlic aroma with hints of bandaid. It smells pretty bad as a whole.

Taste: Bandaid, phenols, and this weird burnt flavor which is just bad. It keeps these bad flavors throughout and there is a slightly grassy taste at the end which doesn't do it any favors. There is a bit of a meaty flavor which only appears long enough to be noticeable and then pops away which seems to trick the mind into thinking it was never there to begin with, but then it will appear again in another sip reaffirming that it is real. There is a bit of this underlying garlic flavor which is really the only redeeming quality of the beer but it really doesn't fit with the beer or style either.

Mouthfeel: It is a soft beer with a body that rests in the medium-light range with a slightly chalky texture. It is a slow drinking beer because it feels awkward to drink.

Overall: It's hard to really pinpoint what is going on with this beer because there are so many issues with it. The can states that this is a "CRISP PILSNER" and it definitely doesn't feel crisp. It feels soft and textured more than one would want. It doesn't taste, smell, or feel like any normal pilsner. Unfortunately I bought a 6-pack of this because I thought it would be good and now I have to drink the rest of this. I don't recommend it and I wouldn't buy it again.

12oz canned on 03/29/23 (1 month ago) poured into a vintage bow tie glass at fridge temp 5.0% ABV. The beer pours very bright, very light straw yellow with nearly white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of bubbles. The aroma is mild with lemon prominent over grass and pale malt. The taste is more of the same with light pils malt and plenty of lemony, herbal, grassy hops and moderate bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Mostly clean lagering. Overall, ok.
