Copenhagen 8/1 2024. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb, F. Straight forward off-white can in BrewDog's usual design.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized light beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a dense 2,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is intense with a very sweet and sugary odor bro aging candy and cake to mind. Brown sugar syrup, cocoa, lactose and milk chocolate. Coffee with lots of sugar.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
More candy than coffee.

Black color and a thin beige head.
Aroma with notes of vanilla-toffee, milky chocolate and house made coffee.
Flavor with notes of house made coffee, chocolate, powder milk and faint pine. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness.
Light to medium body with appropriate carbonation.
Coffee Stout with decent malt complexity without a strong coffee that normally shadows the other nuances.

440ml can from Tesco supermarket (£3.50):
Jet black with a thin beige lacing around the circumference. Strong coffee notes, a vanilla sweetness & sweet chocolate initially then a few roasted malts & subtle dried fruits at the end. It's a mix of sweet chocolate, coffee & light malts, although it's not quite as strong as the nose. Smooth with a slight tang at the end & fine carbonation; pretty sweet throughout but slightly better than expected.
