Lost is now found and this is the Last Barrel of it. Three years ago, we made this special brew that features heavy notes of molasses, bourbon, rum, chocolate, caramel, and dried fruit which makes for a truly decadent stout, but then... we lost it. Our brewery is big, okay? Good news, it has officially been found and has been aged to perfection allowing the flavors to seamlessly meld together creating a smooth, rich imperial stout. Clearly, our loss is your gain.

From the bottle in a snifter via the brewery from the Little Lady by mail order
for Christmas. This mighty fine imperial pours a muddled blackish brown with
a moderate head of khaki foam that settles to a thin ring with some nice legs.
Nose of bourbon, oak, astringent booze, dark brown sugars, and dark
chocolate dashed with dark fruit notes. Flavors surpass the nose with dark
chocolate, dark coffee, bourbon, molasses, dark berry notes of black and
raspberry. oak, toasted dark breaded malts, subtle tobacco, and moderate
char. Mouth feel is full, smooth, rich, coating, slick, warming, and finishing
moderately dry.
Of note, warmth brings in fudge and subtle cream notes.
Overall, a solid brew from a great brewery!
Cheers
