Beers like this don't come along too often, nor do Homicidal Puppets for that matter. An indulgent, complex, and endlessly giving beer. Packed with aromas of toffee, coconut, red berry, burnt sugar, marzipan and orange. Aged in oak rye whisky casks to add structure and depth (not the same oak as the Help Desk) to this chewy and rye barley wine ale.

330 ml bottle, best before 01/10/22 stamped on the label, BrewDog Scotland brewed version. Thanks to one of my Twitter/X buddies for this one (don't remember his BA name), it's a pretty old bottle so I'm surprised it wasn't already added on here before. Served in a snifter, the beer pours a cloudy reddish/amber color with about an inch light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like raisins, candied oranges, vanilla, toffee, whiskey and coconut. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some breadiness, oak and caramel flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and a bit syrupy with a moderate amount of carbonation. Have to say this one has aged pretty well, still drinking good if you have a bottle around!
