Kick back and cozy up—Winter Staycation is your fireside indulgence in a glass. Pouring jet-black with a mocha foam, this 7.5% stout is loaded with chocolate, caramel, and roasted nut aromas, rounded out by hints of vanilla and toffee. Big and sweet on the palate with a touch of balancing bitterness, it finishes with a smooth, warming linger that feels like dessert. Full-bodied and decadent, it’s the perfect companion when the nights get long and the sweaters get ugly.

I got a 6pck of cans of this beer from my local meijer store. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that is leaving some lace. The scent had maple notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with chocolate malt base with maple waffle cone presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

BrewDog Winter Staycation pours a rich opaque brown with a creamy, sudsy beige head. There is a toffee and nut nose. Sweat cocoa flavor trumps any bitterness. Residual taste lingers long enough on the tongue. Mouthfeel certainly tame and along with the generous 7.5% abv, enough to make this a Welcome brew. Semi dry finish.

The pour is jet black with a tan & frothy head of foam. The taste is sweet roasted malt, toffee, pecans, along with some hints of dark chocolate & coffee. Cheers! A-

12 FL OZ can
Served in a snifter
This beer pours black and is topped with an inch of mocha head that leaves spotty lacing.
It has a wonderful pecan toffee aroma. Smells like dessert.
Good initial flavor. Chocolate, toffee, pecans, hints of coffee. Then after a few sips it becomes a bit cloying.
Lighter bodied for a stout with a smooth mouthfeel
Great initial taste. It began to get a little sweet after a few ounces. Other than that, I enjoyed it.

12 oz can dated 8/22/24 pours an opaque dark brown/black with decent beige head that leaves some lacing but never vanishes entirely. Aroma has lots of toffee and pecans, but also some roasted nuts and perhaps some coffee. Taste is sweeter than I prefer, but not boozy. Body is medium with a slick mouthfeel. This one would be great if it weren't so sweet.

Poured stout black with a dense light brown head that reached a few centimeters and left sheets of lacing.
The taste actually resembles what they state it is meant to; pecan is strongly featured, followed (or accompanied by) a toffee flavor that was somehow not overly sweet. The base stout flavors are not completely hidden, there is the coffee and warm bread, any chocolate is blended in with the toffee and presents as white chocolate (which really isn't chocolate)
The feel is not heavy and not crisp; a light body that comfortably carries the flavors.
OA, nice dessert beer, not too sweet, not un-sweet. Good beer-

L: thick black with reddish around the ends. Decent head that recedes to a sheen
S: stout malts. Slight sweetness from the pecans
T: pecan dominates with a little cola flavoring showing up also. The pecans taste fresh which is nice
M: very smooth with no carbonation reflux
O: very good seasonal. I really like BrewDog stouts and this goes on the list of the good ones.

I resemble that beer name. I staycation way more than I care too lately. That's gotta end. Anywho, they called their sweet stout that.
It pours nice and black and slightly fizzy. A nice sweet aroma warns of just what will be a bit of an assault on the taste buds. It's really sweet and finishes that way. There is a lot of coffee and pecan taste as advertised, but it is hare to get over the sweetness.
Not recommended. I wouldn't want another.

Had on draft and it poured a blackish body with one-finger head that left some lace. Aroma is very nutty and has touches of spiciness. Medium to heavy body, a sugary nuttiness like pecans and touches of honey and cinnamon spice. Finished sweet with little booziness and spices and enjoyable (not cloying but close).

Pours a dark brown color with a foamy tan head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of coffee and roasted malts. You can taste the sweet toffee and the nutty flavor of the pecans. Smooth and creamy.

12oz can served in a snifter. Canned on 08/22/24 (awfully early for a holiday beer....) 2054-2 12:49.
Appearance: Very dark brown, letting just the barest amount of light in around the edges. Tan head with lots of fine strands and islands of persistent lacing. Good looking beer.
Smell: Definite toffee, some chocolate notes, roasted malt, and a hint of pecans.
Taste: A lot like it smells, with some buttery toffee and pecan that comes across, briefly, like a pecan pie. Definitely on the sweet side. Roasted malts bring some bitterness to temper the sweetness, but this is still a sweet beer. Some lingering aftertaste that carries more pecan and roasted malt.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, just right carbonation, a little bit of a dry finish. Good thickness.
Overall / Drinkability: Dessert in a glass. A very sweet beer, but it works nicely. Definitely need to pair this with a dessert. One is enough per evening though.
