Kick off the long shoes and down (clown) tools for this Experimental Pale Ale, brewed with a pair of new arrivals from America's hop heartland. HBC 342 and 692 juggle juicy, tropical aromas of freash-cut pineapple and floral sweetness in this balanced, bitter pale ale.

Copenhagen 16/12 2019. 33 cl can from Mad & Vin, Magasin, Kbh. K. Red and metal version of BrewDogs usual design. They call it a “Experimental pale ale”.
Pours unclear, golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent but frothy layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Considerable lacing.
Aroma is medium intense, fruity sweet with a tropical twist and with strong citric notes. Peach and mango. Some sweet orange. Citric notes of Grape fruit and lemon.
Medium carbonation. Thin, watery and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly stronger citric citterness. Aftertaste is bitter and citric. Lingers for a bit. Finish is dry.
I would not consider this brew to be especially “experimental”. But it is a more than decent APA.
