Black with touches of a deep red around the edges and a light, reddish brown head on top.
Roasted malts and some light coffee notes along with some cocoa and a little dried fruit. There is quite a bit of spice to this one on the nose and a touch of dark chocolate.
Strong malty taste though and a little touch of hops too. The coffee isn't quite as strong as nose. Some licorice notes along with some chocolate and hints of dried fruit. It is rounded off with a fair bit of spice.
Medium bodied beer with good bitter malts and a spicy, lingering coffee aftertaste and a touch of dryness.
Nice spicy notes to this beer and a good balance with a solid, malt base and the occasional taste of hops throughout.
