The colour is gold with a tint of brown, the liquid is clear. The finger thick head is off-white and compact. It leaves some lacing.
The first smell I note is a tart gooseberry one. Black current bushes. Hints of fruit soup and forest. The smell is smooth and a bit... precautions.
There are notes of black/red/white currant in the taste. Some tart notes of gooseberries and lychee fruits. Some grapefruit in the bitterness as well as raspberries. Hints of oil and turpentine. The flavours are well balanced, the bitterness is mild and smooth. Some tree sap in the finish.
The carbonation is smooth, the many bubbles small. The liquid is smooth.
I reviewed it together with the three other IPA Is Dead ales, and this one was the least bitter, the freshest and most drinkable one.

BB 2013
Pours cloudy amber - head fizzes and dies. Spotty lace.
Aromas of citrus - sugared grapefruit, pineapple. Not sharp.
Taste is medium with well balanced citrus fruit salad (pineapple maybe to the fore) with a malt addition.
Mouthfeel nicely carbnonated, medium bodied.
Better than Challenger by far.
(Review and taste buds muddled on re-read due to tasting two beers side by side. Mistake)

Pours amber with a lasting head.
Nose shows tropical fruit and spicy hops with overt citrus, passion fruit and floral notes.
Hardly any of the fruit transfers through as flavours, although the spicy hops remain. A fair whack of malt underneath. Not much of a bitter finish, but pleasant regardless.
Body seems overtly syrupy, carbonation could be higher.

Alright number two out of this pack and it pours a clear golden honey hue which leaves a creamy two finger head that stays and lots of lacing, the smell is tropical fruit salad, fresh blackberries, gooseberries, butterscotch and toffee, the mouthfeel is just over lightbodied and suprisingly suits this hop with tastes of goosberries,a sweet grassy herbalness, tropical fruit salad, boiled candy and finished with a blackberry bittersweetness and overall another good example of a single hop IPA which is totally different to the Galaxy which i first tasted and looking forwards to the next two on offer i just wished after them doing the single hop IPA's they did an IPA which used all four Hops together as i think it be an interesting proposition.

The beer is almost clear amber, small bubbles, an off-white head with some lacing, but rather good curtains.
The smell is fruity, black currant and a hint of tropical fruits.
The taste is rather sweet, toffee and bread, mango, passion fruits and pine apples.
Medium low carbonation, soft and oily, a good body, a slow dry finish.
A very tropical fruit experience.

Tihs is one of four I'm reviewing from the second 4-pack single hop AIPAs called IPA is dead. I'm gonig to review them side by side.
A: Pours copper with some small bubbles. The medium large tan head leaves nice lacings.
S: Sweet caramell malt with lots of floral and also some bitter hops (in this case Motueka). Passionfruits, pineapple and mango.
T: Sweet caramell malts, mild bitter hops and rich tropical fruits, passionfruits, mango and pineapple, but rather mild.
M: Aftertaste lingers with nice bitterness and also some fruityness. Body is full while carbonation is moderate.
O: A nice AIPA. The Single hopping makes it less complex.

330ml bottle. ½ Pint glass. Enjoyed on may´12. Orangish amber color & slightly foggy appearance. Yellowish white froth & very good retention. Subtle crystal malt overwhelm by intense hoppy aromas with tangerine& resiny notes. Sharp citric – tangerine & orange- hops at first sip followed by a sweet malty touch on to the palate removed by bitter hoppiness lingering into the finish. Medium to light body, moderate carbonation. Oily finish & oranges on the aftertaste.

Clear copper/orange colour with a small cream coloured head that fades to a film which leaves good lacing around the glass.
Strong tropical fruit smells, mainly passionfruit, pineapple and mango, there are also hops, a little malty caramel and some citrus notes.
Loads of tropical fruits again in the taste, passion fruit and mango again, with a good hop bitterness and an earthy aftertaste.
Medium bodied and with some good carbonation, it felt a little heavy at times though.
Overall this is a pretty good and enjoyable IPA, not the best out of the 4pack but still a pretty good IPA.
