Format: reasonable brown 330mL bottle, an okay macro label.
Appearance: poured a clear light golden colour with a fluffy white head that falls away quickly. Pretty standard.
Aroma: not sure about this - slight sweet grain aroma, but overpowered by floral and particularly vegetal aromas. Not terribly pleasant. Aroma has a 'skunk' to it.
Taste: the flavour is slightly improved, it trades vegetal for spicy floral hops. Still has an unpleasant base of skunky vegetable and heavy grains. Okay.
Aftertaste: disappears quite quickly, but does leave a metallic feel - probably due to the quite excellent level of carbonation. Mouthfeel is good at least.
Mouth feel: moderate body and carbonation, suits the style well and brings the flavours forward.
Overall: not a brilliant beer, to be honest. Some vegetable and floral hop notes, but it is overpowered by an unpleasant and awkward funk. For $54 a case you can find far better boutique / craft midstrengths.
