October 2020: 500 ml bottle, from Gulating ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Deep golden colour, moderate white head. Malty aroma, crystal malts and hints of caramel. Malty and grainy flavour, fairly dry, hints of citric hops, medium bitter finish. Not really great.

Hand-pulled pint in 'The Plough' Shifnal on 21 Aug 2013.
Looked good: bright and golden, with a white head of creamy foam which gave plenty of heavy lacing as the beer level sank down the glass.
Hoppy from the start: the nose giving plenty of warning, mild citrus notes in an otherwise dry semi-bitter hop tasting brew. There is a malt presence, but it's there just to stop the hops taking over completely and preventing the beer becoming too one dimensional. I found the beer both refreshing and rewarding, this is a good beer and mine had been looked after very well by the cellarman.
Best beer of the day (only had five though).

Pulled on cask in Kirkwall. Appeared a warm honey gold colour, no visible carbonation, a white soapy head with great lacing.
Smell has a rich fruitiness and floral hops, some caramel malt, light and aromatic, smells great with great depth.
Taste has a great balance, pine resin presence, a thick oily hop note, apple and dry rich floral character, great taste.
Mouthfeel is slick, moderate body, a slight malty sweetness, so crisp and refreshing.
A good resin-y hoppy PA, hops are quite present but balanced in a wonderfully light beer with a nice crisp feel to it.
