Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served an orange amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, fading over time to leave a lighter level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is big of a citrus smell of tangerine and grapefruit mixed with some big tropical fruit smells of pineapple and mango. Along with these aromas comes a light doughy smell and a little bit of grass.
Taste- The taste begins as the nose would suggest with a rather strong showing of citrus and tropical fruit sweetness mixed with some nice bitter grapefruit hop. As the taste advances the initial flavors lose a little bit of ground and are replaced by some hop tastes of a grassy and floral nature. While the citrus and fruit lose a bit of potency, they are none the less the strongest of the flavors overall and leave one with a rather citrusy and bright hoppy taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is average in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation that is rather average as well. For the tastes of the brew the feel is rather nice as it is complements both the citrus hop as well as the sweeter flavors nicely.
Overall – This is a quite tasty, somewhat sweeter and very easy drinking IPA overall. One to try if you get the chance.
