Brewery notes: The Flyin’ Hawaiian is brewed with Columbus, Mandarina Bavaria, Pacific Gem and Falconer’s Flight hops, creating a tasty interplay between earthy and pine notes with citrus, dark berries and tropical fruit. A burst of fresh pineapple post-fermentation enhances the hops with an extra layer of tropical flavors, while the simple malt bill allows the hops to shine.

Big billowing white head. Cloudy orange with lots of bubbles.
Smell....meeeh, not much going on.
Tastes of bitter sweetness. Lemons, oranges, hmmmm pineapple?
Slick brew with tingling carbonation.
Decent dippa, not,great.

Medium in the iPA, flower front, almost a liquor after taste. . . Smooth-ish

Poured into a snifter. Moderately hazy with an amber-orange hue. A thick and rocky off-white head with nice retention and sturdy lacing. Not surprisingly, pineapple on the nose with orange, mango, and some caramel malt. A bit of pine. Pineapple up front but not overwhelming; definitely citrusy hops but balanced with pine. Slightly sweet malt backbone but a bit thin on the body. Warm on the finish and slightly boozy.

Not very impressed with this 8.4% DIPA.
