look: 3.75 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.5

Appearance: Arrives with a hazy golden color capped by a one finger head; rather fizzy and fades quickly leaving a few spots of lacing

Smell: The blueberry is well-developed in the aroma and is supported by doughy, grainy tones

Taste: Doughy and somewhat sweet, up front, with some blueberry flavors developing; a touch of lactic sourness in the mix, as well; tart wheat tones in the finish

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A refreshing summer beer but the blueberry tones are not as bold as I would have hoped

L: brilliant gold under a 1.5" white cap with fair retention

S: Fresh blueberries lead the aromas joined by traces of wheat, light funk, berries, fruit and traces of lemon

T: Blueberries dominate the palate. Traces of sweetness and pie crust soften lemonade levels of tartness.

F: light, refreshing, highly carbonated and tart.

O: flavorful and easy to drink

Clean, deep gold color with a lasting frothy head of 1/2 finger in the snifter.

Aromas of blueberry cereal, bread, and cracker.

Some nice citric notes to start, acidic, tart, and lightly fruity. Blueberry cereal and crumble following. Finish of blueberry bread/cereal.

Feel is crisp, clean, and exciting.

Overall, a very nice beer I wasn't expecting to like as much as I do. I'd gladly buy more.

Slightly hazy vibrant orange-amber with a moderate, fuzzy uniform white head quickly dying to a paper thin ring.

This smells like a crisp, tart Fat Head's Bumbleberry, with fresher but sugared blueberry and a hint of graham.

Taste is sweet blueberry pie filling with tart lemon in the middle and a touch of biscuit, via a medium body with a full froth and a semi-dry, crisp and refreshing swallow.

I picked up a can of Tallgrass's Blueberry Jam for $1.69 at The Lager Mill. I've had a couple beers from this series and since I like blueberries I thought I would give this one a try, so lets see how it goes. 2017 Vintage. Poured from a 12oz can into a teku.

A- The can looks nice, it has a nice design to it and it's a little eye catching. It poured a hazy golden orange color that took on more of a golden yellow color when held to the light with a over three fingers worth of slightly creamy, fluffy and fizzy white head that died down to a thin ring that eventually faded away it left a little bit of spotty lacing behind. This is a pretty nice looking sour, I have no complaints.

S- The aroma starts off with a slightly higher amount of medium sweetness with the blueberries being the first to show up and they impart a nice and natural tart blueberry aroma that's followed by a noticeable sour aroma. Up next comes a little bit of a doughy aroma that leads into the malts which is impart some bready, grainy, pale malt and light sweet malt like aromas. This beer has pretty nice aroma, it's what I would expect from the style.

T- The taste seems to be similar to the aroma, but a little lighter and it starts off with a slightly higher amount of medium sweetness with the blueberries still being the first to show up, but they are a good amount lighter than they were in the aroma and it's not as intense. Up next comes a little bit of doughy flavors that leads into the malts which show up just as much as they did in the aroma and they impart all the same aspects. On the finish there's a slightly lighter amount of medium sourness with a little more sweetness and it has a light blueberry and malty aftertaste. This is a nice tasting blueberry berliner weiss, but I wish the blueberry showed up more.

M- Smooth, not overly sour, a little refreshing, on the light side of being medium bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. The mouthfeel is pretty nice and it works well with this beer.

Overall I thought this was a nice beer and I thought it was a pretty solid example of the style, I liked it, but I didn't love it and I think if it had a little more blueberry like flavors than it would be a better beer. This beer had ok drinkability, one is enough for me, I might get bored with the flavor after that. What I like the most about this beer is the aroma, it's pretty nice and I wish the taste was more like it. What I like the least about this beer was the taste and drinkability, they were this beers weak points. I don't think I would buy this beer again and I can't say it's a must try. All in all I liked this beer, but it was still a little rough around the edges and it has the potential to be better. It's not a favorite beer from this brewery and it's a little bit of above average for the style. Nice job guys, this is a solid beer, but it still has the potential to be better.

Poured from 12-ounce can into a slender cylindrical mug. Hazy amber in color, with a thick white evanescent head that settles rapidly without leaving a trace. Tart fruit, yeast, and light, bready malt on the nose. Big flavors of blueberry as expected, with notes of sour apple and Meyer lemon. The tartness is pleasant, not overpowering. The finish is on the sweet side, with some lingering notes of tart blueberry. A very good beer overall. Drink this "ohne Schuss." You won't need syrup to cut the tartness.

Pours a very hazy golden yellow color with a small fizzy head. Head retention is very mild. Lacing is good. A very big blueberry aroma with some sourness to it. Blueberry is definitely there on the taste but not as heavy as the aroma. Sourness is borderline lip puckering. Just right. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Pours dark golden honey with large 2 finger fluffy head.
The aroma is blueberry, tons of funk, light biscuit maltiness with a yeasty earthiness.
It's really not nearly as sweet as most fruited Berliners I've had. It's much drier and earthier. It's lightly tart slightly fruity with lots of funk and a yeasty dryness on the finish.
The mouthfeel is thin with very lively carbonation. It's really refreshing.
Overall I prefer my Berliners much more tart and acidic and not nearly this funky. It's very complex and I am happy to find a fruited Berliner that isn't overpowered by the fruit.

Poured out a clear, golden-yellow color with a small, fizzy head of foam. It smelled of blueberry and tartness. Lots of sweet blueberry taste with a touch of tartness.

Excellent fruited Berliner. The flavor of the blueberry comes through but doesn't totally overpower the base beer flavor. Nose is a ton of delicious, ripe blueberries.
Taste is definite blueberry, mixed with tart lemon zest and followed by a nice wheat finish. Excellent beer.

12oz can, served in a snifter glass. Pours a darker golden body, one finger white head, short retention, no lacing. Smell is tart vinegar, lactic acid, touch of blueberry yogurt, slight spice. Flavour is heavier on the blueberry, which is nice. Yogurt, lactic acid, touch of vinegar, moderately tart all the way through. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied, good carbonation, refreshing but at the same time, tart enough that I only really want to sip on it over a period of time. Strange for a berliner, which I often find myself wanting to scarf down, but this is a nice expression of blueberry.

Golden color with a finger of head. Looks attractive and I was half expecting some blue tinged pour. Mild funk with a hint of blueberry in the nose. Flavor has a low to moderate acidic pucker with mild funky cheese and lemon peel flavor. Blueberry is just complimentary and not the main show. Nice Berliner flavors. Light body with lively carbonation.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 12/10/2017. Pours slightly hazy medium golden amber/light orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Slight spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lightly tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, lemon, pear, green apple, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, light pepper, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, blueberries, and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lightly tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, lemon, pear, green apple, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, light pepper, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, lemon, pear, green apple, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, pepper, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, blueberries, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness balance, and zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and bready/grainy/acidic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.3%. Overall this is a nice fruited Berliner weisse. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, blueberries, and bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the mellow tartness/acidity. This was not as lactic or bold on the fruit as I was hoping for; but really well balanced and flavorful for the ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Look is honey gold with 2+ fingers of off white head.

Aroma is some sort of bread/biscuit and a hint (more like a tease) of blueberry.

Taste is lemon rind tart up front, some bread/biscuit mid and a very faint hint of blueberry skin on the backend.

Feel is crisp as carb is on the higher side.

Overall not a bad beer at all it just needs the tartness dialed up a bit and the blueberry dialed up a lot. This beer would definately hit the spot on a hot day if you were looking for something different to quench your thirst.

On tap into a tulip. Pours a clear gold color with a lingering fingernail head fueled by decent carbonation. Aroma of tart citrus, malt, and blueberry. Taste is tart citrus and blueberry with a clean, dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.
Nice tartness, not a puckering sour, with a good blast of blueberry in there. A nice, refreshing summer beer that I could drink all day long.

Poured from a can. Clear honey colour. Blueberry compote, earthy hops and a tart fruity nose. Crisp and light overall. Light tartness upfront, fresh tangy blueberries, with a dry, wheat and cereal finish that lingers a bit. Nice summer sipper, simple and flavourful.

We've got a gusher! This beer pours a deep gold with a very large head. The aroma is very sour and citric, with lemon, a generic sour fruit character, and just a hint of clean malt. The flavor is much less sour than the nose suggests, with lemon and the same generic sour fruit quality, with a hint fo wheat malt. The mouthfeel is light with active foamy carbonation. Overall this is a decent little sour, but not particularly interesting - blueberry is a difficult flavor, and while it does not end up tasting artificial here, but it is also not distinctly blueberry.
