Love the town, but the beer is alright. Brought a growler to take home, had a good hefeweizen sitting there, should have taken notes, had a little taste of their oatmeal stout, should of taken notes. Scotch Ale 5.4%.
Pours a nice clear brown, a little darker than an english brown, pours with a nice white head that disapates but tere is a minor head cover throughout hte whole the glass. Very slight malty aroma, not much else. Light malty taste, supposed to be some smome but I can't pick it up. Slight sourness (?) in mouth. Mouthfeel kind of light.
If I had to choose between a cold Newcastle at my local rink bar or this, I would choose the scotch ale. Not too impressive but drinkable
