A: Orange with some light amber woven. Nice firm head. Lacing half way down. Some grain flakes on the bottom; otherwise, solid in presentation.

S: Very sweet fruit punch quality with grapeade quality.

M: Slightly chewy, med body with the correct carbonation.

T: Strong toffee collides briefly with a metallic undertone, and tidied up by a light, grassy Saaz bitterness. This was better when I taste it a few years ago.

A. This brew poured a slightly cloudy dark apricot amber coloe with a one finger white head that leaves a slight lace on the glass.

S. Malt, bread, carmel.

T. A good hoppy bitterness, with a slight sweet maltiness.

M. Medium bodied, good carbonation. Starts bitter, with a carmel sweetness in the middle finishes dry and bitter.

D. A good brew, I am happy I got a growler filled at the brewery. Nice balance, good flavor.

L: Pours a nice orange-amber color with a medium sized and medium bodied off-white colored head that laces the glass nicely on the way down.
S: Smells of sweet lightly toasted malts, sweeter caramel flavored malts, and biscuit-y malts.
T: Like the nose, it was very malty - lightly toasted, sweet caramelized, and biscuit-y malts predominated the taste. Nice clean finish.
M: Very crisp, fresh, refreshing, perfect amount of carbonation.
D: Very drinkable, this is a good Okterberfest if you're going to knock back a few.

You know it's going to be a heckuva wedding reception when there's a keg of the local brewer's Oktoberfest on tap.

I had never had this beer before, or anything by the Gilded Otter for that matter. So I was happy to indulge my curiosity.

There's nothing bad to be said about this beer. Great looking. Nice color and head. Moderate lacing. Delicious. Smooth. Great mouthfeel. And ooooh the drinkability!

I'm pretty sure I'll be making the trip to New Paltz soon to get a growler of this bad boy and see what else I'm missing!

Nice Brownish copper hue in a pint glass with a good two finger head. The smell was a little hoppy but not overpowering. This is another well done beer by the Guilded Otter. Not to extreme, yet thoroughly enjoyable. The mouthfeel was good, a little body but nothing too overpowering. I would definitely drink this beer again. The whole reason we went was for the pumpkin ale but we thought we would try a few other beers while we were there. This was one of the better ones we had.

Poured a light copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and little lacing.

The smell featured a light caramel malt with a light grassy hop.

The taste consisted of a soft caramel malt with some light nuttiness.

The mouthfeel was toward the lighter side of the style.

Overall a decent rendition.
