The waitress explained to me that this beer was brewed by Gilded Otter to celebrate their ten year anniversary. It was a combination of 10 hops and had an ABV of 10%. It should also be pointed out that the wait staff are college kids just looking to make an extra buck and they are not necessarily beer connoisseurs.
As for the beer, it was poured into a standard pint glass, the head had dissipated by the time the waitress brought it over. It was dark copper and you could smell the hops in the beer. My first taste I thought the alcohol was extremely overpowering but as I drank on it became more and more acceptable. I would try this again but it is not something I could drink on a regular basis.

Poured a murky medium copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.
The smell featured a juicy cascade hop and a grainy malt.
The taste consisted of a clean crisp grain with a balmy citrus hop.
The mouthfeel was toward the cleaner side of the style. There was some hotness detected.
Overall a delicious and relatively ufer friendly DIPA. c
